“Pushing the boundaries of Corporate Social Responsibility”
The HEC Montréal Sustainability Challenge is a case competition and conference that affords MBA students from across Canada and abroad a unique opportunity to put their talents and skills to the test. Since 2010, the event has challenged students to develop practical solutions to complex business cases dealing with sustainability’s role in business.
This year, the preliminary rounds took place Thursday March 13. The final round and speaker’s forum, featuring experts in the sustainability space, took place Friday March 14.
The 2014 forum included a panel discussion dealing with the specific topic of the case (sustainable practices in the extractive sector) and featured thought leaders from industry, academia, not-for-profit and consulting spheres. We were honoured to welcome our speakers, Lorraine Smith, Director of SustainAbility’s New York office, and Sidney Ribaux, Founder and Director of Montréal’s own Équiterre.
Congratulations to the 2014 winners!
